How to Choose Soaps for Extremely Dry and Sensitive Skin?

Why is Sustainability so important to TCSF

One of the misconceptions people have after using commercial soaps over the years is that soap drys the skin. That’s often because commercial soaps are full of synthetic chemicals. Cheap commercial soaps can disrupt your skin’s protective acid mantle due to the harsh ingredients and high pH.

Our natural handmade soaps hopefully change that idea. Carefully formulated to be very mild and moisturising, all our camel milk soaps contain 100% natural ingredients. Camel milk is highly concentrated with lactic acid, an Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHA) that is friendly to the dry and most sensitive skin, which makes your skin fresh and radiant.

We also cure our handmade soaps for 4 weeks. During that period, the PH of the soap continues to drop and become mild in use. Our machine-milled soaps, camel milk everyday soap – are all-natural, too, meaning there are no added chemicals that cause irritation but remain fresh on your skin.

Best soap for dry skin

Our signature Castile soaps are some of the best soaps for dry skin, with up to 24% fresh camel milk. Camel Milk is one of the most nutrient-dense milk. It’s mild enough to use on your face and body while keeping your skin moisturised, and strong enough to prevent acne and kill bacteria.

Historically, castile soap was made of olive oil base in the Levant area before its use spread to Europe. Olive oil is a natural emollient oil loaded with skin-nourishing fatty acids that are super moisturising on dry skin. It’s also high in polyphenols, tocopherol (Vit E) and carotenoid antioxidants which target free radicals, slowing down the signs of aging. Besides the super nutrient camel milk and olive oil, we also add beeswax. Beeswax is a natural humectant that draws moisture to the top layer of skin. This keeps your skin looking and feeling smoother, especially if it’s dry, and prevents the loss of hydration of your skin. It also allows the skin to breathe, keeping pores from blockage.

For gents, our Middle Eastern aromas – oud, aromatic wood and more – add a hint of regional spices and fragrance to our handmade body soaps without compromising the great benefits of camel milk.

Or you can try Frankincense Face Cleanser. Frankincense remains one of the most precious ingredients in this region. Used for 6,000 years as a perfume and panacea, frankincense was used widely in traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine as an effective remedy for many skin conditions. We discovered that frankincense oil helps to reduce skin imperfections such as discoloration and stimulates the growth of new cells.

If your skin is still dry after the gentle cleansing, try and apply our award-winning Camel Milk Face Rescue cream or body cream. Our Camel Milk Face Rescue cream has 40% fresh camel milk.

What if my skin is super sensitive?

If you are looking for a mild cleanser specifically for your sensitive face, our Unscented Face Cleanser will be the perfect match. We understand that sensitive facial skin is a bit different from the rest of your skin. It’s rich in sebaceous glands that secrete sebum, which can trap dead skin cells and dirt, leading to a dull complexion that is prone to blemishes. Sensitive skin needs additional care in our formulations. We use all-natural butter, oils and fresh camel milk. Rice bran is used here as a natural emollient oil that softens dry and flaky skin, making it look supple and smooth.

Any unscented soaps are always the best choice for sensitive skins without fragrances or essential oils. This minimizes the chance of skin itchiness and irritation.

If you are still not sure about what’s the right soap for your dry and sensitive skin, you are more than welcome to visit our factory in Dubai Silicon Oasis, take a free camel milk soap sample and learn about how we select the ingredients and manufacture sustainably.
